At St Brendan’s we value the importance of student voice and leading through our actions.
Our Student Leadership team consists of:
School Captains appointed to act in roles of responsibility and to assist at school events and liturgical celebrations
Social Justice Captain to lead students in their thinking and actions towards others in the school and community
Social Justice Leaders chosen by the student body to raise awareness of justice issues and promote actions to help create a just community
House Captains who promote and assist with sports events, motivate and encourage their house teams.
The Student Leadership team model school expectations of being safe, respectful active learners. In Term 4 all prospective Year 5 students who wish to apply for Leadership positions will partake in weekly Leadership building sessions as an extra curricular activity. This program has been developed to promote leadership skills, expectations and responsibilities. During these sessions the students will be asked to develop their own leadership project that they will undertake during their time as a leader at St Brendan’s.
