At St Brendan’s we strive to live by our vision as;

‘an inclusive community of learners “United in God”.’

At St. Brendan’s we believe wellbeing is integral to learning excellence and ultimately to overall health and life success. A positive sense of wellbeing supports a base for rich learning that enables young people to flourish.

Student Wellbeing is the responsibility of all members of the school community. We promote respectful relationships between staff, students and families and understand the importance of working together in order to help students thrive, both personally and academically. A sense of belonging and connectedness is developed through caring and healthy relationships between all members of our community.

To improve educational and behavioural outcomes for all students, School Wide Positive Behaviour is a support framework that St Brendan’s School practises. Each week we celebrate student achievement during our school assembly. Staff are also trained in the Berry Street Educational Model, which draws upon  research and experience around the world to engage students. The domains within this model are Body, Stamina, Engagement and Character, all anchored by Relationship.

Our behavioural  expectations at St Brendan’s:

We are Safe, Respectful & Active Learners

Students are able to state the behavioural expectations and transfer them to all learning and physical environments. Positive expectations and behaviours are explicitly taught and encouraged.
